C: yesterday we where kiwi-watching for about one hour in a kiwihatchery! that was really an experience. in the wilderness they are difficult to be seen and there are also few left ... maybe today we will find some ...
H: No luck today; the water over the road was too deep for our crappy toyota (yes, its a big car, but anything without 4WD is just a bunch of unnecessary crap here), so we had to go back. How I'd love to have a Landy here... *sigh* We'll try again at the north island at the birders rest at kerikeri. Some time to go until then.
