I read that the prevailing north-east trade winds cause the draught on the south-west coast, and it seems also in the tunnel between the 2 volcanoes, that we went down when going from kahalui to lahaina. Maybe we'll see some more wet regions tomorrow. Still, the landscape here is so dry and barren, it is hard to believe that the other side of the island could be wet.
